Strengthening sound financial management practices among local Iraqi organizations enhances their sustainability and expands their access to funding. To this end, the Civil Society Service Center in Mosul organized an intensive training workshop on ‘Financial Management’ for a group of local NGOs in Nineveh Governorate. The workshop covered crucial aspects of financial management, from procurement procedures and approval processes to bid evaluation, disbursement mechanisms, and necessary documentation. The aim was to empower participants with the knowledge to navigate complex financial issues, make sound financial decisions, and establish efficient accounting systems that promote transparency and financial sustainability for their organizations.
The #UPP works with Al Mesalla to empower local CSOs in Iraq through TATWEER project funded by the European Union and in partnership with local NGOs (Alnajah Center for Training&Development in Basra and Shakoufyan Organization in Anbar).
