Providing a safe space for women contributes to enhancing their role in creating change!
The Center for Civil Society Services in Basra organized a roundtable on human rights (violence against women) at the Center for Social and Cultural Studies and Research. The session included discussing the challenges of women in Iraq, activities related to this campaign and how to strengthen them and continue to support and empower women, and focused on Resolution 1325, which includes (women, security and peace), where civil society activists and representatives of the local organization in Basra Governorate participated in this roundtable.
The #UPP works with Al Mesalla to empower local CSOs in Iraq through TATWEER project funded by the European Union and in partnership with local NGOs (Alnajah Center for Training&Development in Basra and Shakoufyan Organization in Anbar).
