We can save our environment from collapse and preserve the future of our generations!
As an essential part of developing the capacity of local organizations in Iraq, the Civil Society Services Center in Baghdad, with the support of the “Tatweer ll” project, organized a climate change group meeting at the Ministry of Environment in coordination with Alaghsan Foundation for Development, Environment and Agriculture in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Planning, the Iraqi Banking Association and a number of organizations, as well as representatives from the Climate Change Department within the Ministry of Environment.
The discussion included climate change and the internal migrations that occur as a result of these changes, discussing air pollution with the forms of pollution that we see in our environment, and developing plans to protect the environment and reduce climate change through scientific and practical methods that are applied on the ground.
The #UPP works with Al Mesalla to empower local CSOs in Iraq through TATWEER project funded by the European Union and in partnership with local NGOs (Alnajah Center for Training&Development in Basra and Shakoufyan Organization in Anbar).
