
In a step towards enhancing organizational efficiency and building the capacities of local organizations, the Civil Society Service Center in Erbil organized a training workshop titled “Strategic Planning: Building the Future with Steady Steps.” The workshop targeted a group of local organizations and civil society actors in Raniya, Qaladze, and Sulaymaniyah.

The workshop aimed to empower participants to develop effective strategic plans aligned with the needs of local communities and developmental challenges. It also sought to: Enhance participants’ understanding of strategic planning concepts and tools, provide practical models that enable organizations to define both long-term and short-term goals and Encourage collaboration among organizations to strengthen their role in achieving sustainable development.

The workshop topics included: Analyzing internal and external organizational environments: Using tools like SWOT and PESTEL to identify opportunities and challenges, crafting organizational vision and mission statements: Aligning them with community goals, setting priorities: Based on criteria that consider impact and available resources and Implementation and follow-up plans: Through strategies built on clear performance indicators (KPIs).
The #UPP works with Al Mesalla to empower local CSOs in Iraq through TATWEER project funded by the European Union and in partnership with local NGOs (Alnajah Center for Training&Development in Basra and Shakoufyan Organization in Anbar).
