- Basra Confronts Environmental Challenges: Roundtable Discusses Water Pollution and Prospects for Solutions!
As part of its ongoing efforts to raise environmental awareness and foster community dialogue, the Civil Society Services Center in Basra organized a roundtable discussion entitled “Environmental Pollution – Water Contamination.”
The event brought together representatives from the Directorate of Environmental Protection and Improvement, along with several civil society organizations active in the environmental sector.
The discussion addressed the most pressing challenges related to water pollution in Basra and offered shared insights and recommendations aimed at mitigating the impact of this environmental crisis, which threatens public health and the sustainability of water resources.
The #UPP works with Al Mesalla to empower local CSOs in Iraq through TATWEER project funded by the European Union and in partnership with local NGOs (Alnajah Center for Training&Development in Basra and Shakoufyan Organization in Anbar).
